The Contract Senior Technical Officer (Innovative Technology) is mainly deployed to: (a) implement plans on the production and development of innovative learning technologies in training, including scenario-based training materials, 3D audio-visual productions, extended reality, animations and creative multimedia, etc; (b) provide the creation of e-learning materials using artificial intelligence and extended reality technologies, animations and creative multimedia, etc; (c) manage the set-up, operation and promotion of innovative learning technologies in training, including the use of scenario-based training materials, 3D audio-visual productions, extended reality, animations and creative multimedia, etc; (d) provide presentations on innovative learning technologies; (e) implement and manage the outsourcing of learning technologies related systems; (f) implement and manage the procurement of required resources for innovative learning technology projects; (g) provide technical support on innovative learning technology equipment at Hong Kong Police College (HKPC) or other training venues, and to assist in the training of the HKPC and other Force members in using the innovative learning technology equipment or systems; and (h) supervise the Contract Technical Officer(s) under his/her command and handle the relevant human resource management matters.

Candidates should: (a) have a Diploma or Higher Certificate in relevant disciplines of Design and Innovation or Creative Multimedia or Digital Media Technology or Art Tech Design from a Hong Kong polytechnic / polytechnic university or Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education / technical college / technical institute, or equivalent; (b) have four years’ full-time experience in scenario-based training materials, 3D audio-visual productions, extended reality, animations or creative multimedia, which should include at least two years’ working experience in e-Learning related projects; (c) have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) [Please see Note 2], or equivalent; (d) be able to communicate in Chinese and English; and (e) have passed a trade test. OR (a) (i) have Level 2 or equivalent or above in five subjects including Chinese Language and English Language in the HKDSEE, or equivalent; or (ii) have Level 2 / Grade E or above in five subjects including Chinese Language and English Language in the HKCEE, or equivalent; (b) have six years’ full-time experience in scenario-based training materials, 3D audio-visual productions, extended reality, animations or creative multimedia, which should include at least three years’ working experience in handling e-Learning related projects; (c) have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the HKDSEE or the HKCEE [Please see Note 2], or equivalent; (d) be able to communicate in Chinese and English; and (e) have passed a trade test.

Applications which are incomplete or submitted in person, by post, by fax or by e-mail will not be accepted. Applicants should state clearly in their application forms the details of their academic qualifications and working experience. Applicants should also submit copies of the required supporting documents, including copies of (a) certificates and transcripts in support of academic qualifications; (b) supporting documents of working experience; and (c) supporting documents of level of proficiency in Chinese and English Languages, by e-mail to (hkpc-gr-2@police.gov.hk) on or before 17 July 2026. The title of the post being applied for and the online application number should be quoted in the subject of the e-mail and on every page of the copies of the relevant supporting documents. If applicants fail to provide the relevant supporting documents by the above specified date, or if the relevant supporting documents are received after the above specified date or are insufficient, such applications will NOT be considered. Candidates who are selected for trade test/interview will normally receive an invitation in about 8 to 10 weeks from the closing date for application. Longer time may be required under certain circumstances, e.g. when a large number of applications are received. Those who are not invited for trade test/interview may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
