To carry out special project/assignment under the supervision of the tutor of EMSD and a supervisor of institution. Please refer to attached file for details of each project/assignment.

Applicants should (a) be full-time students studying degree programme in the fields of Building Services Engineering, Computing Science/Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information/ Data Engineering offered by local / non-local accredited post-secondary institutions (Please refer to attached file for details of subject requirement); and (b) be pre-final year students in September 2026 (i.e. students completed second year of study under 3-year university curriculum and students completed third year of study under 4-year university curriculum).

$11,800 per month
Rest day, statutory holidays, general holidays, sickness days, where appropriate, will be granted to the successful candidate in line with the provisions in the Employment Ordinance.

(a) Hong Kong students studying in local post-secondary institutions should apply through the Student Affairs Offices/Career Centres of their respective institutions. You are advised to note the deadlines set by the respective institutions. (Direct applications from students are not accepted).
(b) Students studying in non-local post-secondary institutions should download and complete the attached application form. Completed application form together with copies of certificates of their student status and academic transcripts should be submitted to Assistant Departmental Secretary / Recruitment and Promotion 3 by post to 7/F, Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, 3 Kai Shing Street, Kowloon, Hong Kong on or before the closing date for application (according to postmark). Please specify on the envelope “Application for Medium Term Internship (MTI) Intern”.
(c) Please ensure your mail item bears sufficient postage with return address before posting so as to avoid unsuccessful delivery of application. Underpaid mail items will be returned or disposed of by Hongkong Post.

MTI Intern is engaged under non-civil service appointment. Employment period is from August 2026 to August 2027 tentatively. He / She is normally required to work 44 hours per week.
